This sweet treat will keep you and your dinner guests grinning from ear to ear. For a fun display, cut slices of fresh grapefruit and wedge onto the side of the serving dish. If you wanna get even fancier, add a little fresh mint for some extra flavor and pizzaz.

  • 1 ¼ cups water

  • 1 ¼ cups sugar

  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 2 teaspoons grated grapefruit zest

  • 2 cups freshly squeezed grapefruit juice

  1. In a saucepan on medium heat, bring the water, grapefruit zest, and sugar to a boil, stirring the concoction until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool for five minutes.
  2. Next stir in the freshly squeezed grapefruit and lemon juice. Pour the mixture into a bowl through a fine-mesh strainer and set aside to cool. Cover the bowl and allow to chill in the fridge for about 2-3 hours.
  3. Pour ingredients into your ice cream maker and process until the mixture is thick and icy. Place the prepared sorbet in an air-tight container in the freezer for proper storage.

Tip: Don’t forget to whip up this frozen creation the day before you plan on consuming. The wait is totally worth it!
